I've just signed up for the 160km! I've never cycled over about 90km eeek!

Did the 200km last year.I just rode at a steady tempo all day and finished it handy enough.Went to the pub for pints afterwards and the legs weren't too bad on the Monday morning.Also its easy for the mind to wander and you think you'll never finish,you need to keep positive and just keep pedalling.Enjoy the food stops,very well stocked with nice grub!!

Micky how many hours would you think for the 200?

Will take that as 8-9 hours if a nice day for myself so or maybe 10 if I do a bit of over eating at stops

Terry,moving time was 8.5 hrs,total time including stops was 9.5 hrs.

I Did the 160k last year, its a great day out but I thought it was tougher than the Wicklow 200, would have signed up for the 200 this year but cant make it, its very well run and theres plenty to eat at the food stops and food at the finish, hopefully you get the weather, there was hailstones on the climb up to Sallygap last year.

Signed up for 160km as well. Hope the weather will play along.

I did the 100 last year, someone was supposed to do it with me (won't mentions names) but they bailed on me in favour of some Mickey Mouse event up north! �� it was a great spin, food stop in laragh was quality, cakes, sambos, the lot. Sideways hailstones on the climb up the gap. Weather is to be good so enjoy. Can't make this year unfortunately but it really is a great day on the bike

I would de friend them if I were you! Maybe they bailed because you were such a wimp just doing the 100k ha ha
