As you all know I'm a data nerd so rather than going for coffee I did this today:

The spreadsheets provide an individual level analysis of your lap times for each round that you have finished.
Performance Analysis; Contains a summary of race Averages and assessment of how your performance has changed (comparison of first three races compared to the last three races - the robot keeps a close eye on this)
All Data: Contains the lap times for each race and the average lap time per race
AllRidersAverage: Contains a list of all riders who registered to race and their average lap time per race. It also contains the frequency count, i.e. the number of races that each rider has finished. Only one person, Colm P, has ridden in all races.
StartTimes: Well, not really but you can see how I am estimating where people should start. Ideally, everyone should finish the race in one hour, i.e. at 19:40 but that is not what happens. I have successfully managed to get 95% of racers finished within 90 seconds of each other but I got comments to the effect that, for some of the faster lads, their race effectively ended going into the last forest section as the course was completely stacked from then on. I have thought about giving the fast lads an extra bit of track to race on (basically, turn right before you enter the final forest section and go back around for another bit. However they would be likely to encounter a slower rider in the final forest section and that wouldn't be good for anyone.
The art to handicapping, it is most definitely not a science, is to understand how people go. For some this is very easy as they are very consistent (i.e. the most experienced riders fall into this group). The difficulty is with everyone else!
