Kids Races and Support Race at the 2017 EPIC National Championships

In addition to the National Championships, EPIC are running a number of races that will cater to boys and girls under the age of 10 and those riders who do not want to or are ineligible to race in the National Races. These races are just for fun, there will be no 'Nationals' awards.

Use this form to register for the Sport/Baggy Shorts Race and the Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 races which will be held on the same day as the XC National, hosted by Epic, at Djouce Woods, Co. Wicklow on July 23rd. If you are entering a number of children you will have to complete separate registrations for each child. https://goo.gl/forms/UAvoZUwga9w8Kvw03
Hi, have registered the little one for the under 6 girls but am having trouble finding out any details about the race, such as where to go, who to seek out and what time it starts. Herself is a bit nervous about it so a brief description of the easy/difficulty level would help.
Also I would enter the sport race for the fun, what time does that kick off at and how long is it?

The U6 and U8 races are all for fun. There's no pressure - a very relaxed buildup.

There's info on most of the other races in the XC Nationals Tech Doc here http://irishxcnps.ie/ Nothing to lose entering the sport race. 😀

Parking/sign-on/start are all beside Djouce Woods, Google Maps http://tinyurl.com/y8sngu7f
Hi Ray !
Starts at 9.30am at the forest section beside the lower car park ( the one everyone uses for Djouce )
Rock up for 9am and park in the field so she can scope it out and see the other kids and test the track
- under 6's is generally very safe and not technical

Hi Ray, We are working on the course as I write but the U6s will not face any difficulty - the aim is to get them on their bikes and having fun. The same is true for the U8s and U10s as well though their races will be a little longer and slightly more technical. If there are any changes we will post up here. Cheers, Dave
Thanks for the replies guys. It all sounds good and im sure she will just love to cycle around with the other kids.
So to just make sure I have it right, the under 6's is on at 9:30 and the sport race is at 12:45?
