I'll be booking The Shiplake mountain hostel in Dunmanway again this year tommorow morning and confirmed that i will need 8-10 beds for 2 nights Friday and Saturday. so its first come first serve, i have organised for additional beds if necessary, As Dunmanway is a fair ol' journey the consensus is to head down on the Friday after work arriving late about 11pm there generally cool with the hostel as anyone knows from the previous years...
the booking is for Friday and Saturday night @ approx â¬13 per night per person approx
Anyone who wishes to stay only on the Saturday night thatâs also cool but Iâd need to know that so i can book extra beds for the Saturday.

so far i've myself both nights Cummins and Al for the Saturday.
I've booked in 10 People for the Friday night in order of good looks, Gav D, Ken, Cummins, Adam, Keith, Cooney, Nat, Joe, Fitz & myself that 10. however because its the bank holiday weekend you can understand that it was probably not going to go my way so I’ve done the best i can to accommodate as many people as possible so with that the hostel only have 4 beds for the Saturday night for me. Now I’ve taken them anyway with a promise to give more beds to me if there are any cancelations between now and then, which is pretty sound of her.
she's cool about people arriving around 11pm on Friday, but not to be any later than that she's a mad ol' coot who seems to love the young blood but i don’t wanna take the piss. so try not arrive after that time on Friday night.
Those of you familiar with the place know the deal its a hostel and therefore a sweet open kitchen and showers are there for your use. the rate i confirmed is 18Euro a night its the best price i could get out of her for the 14 people i promised her.
I'll in the mean time call her every now and again until next Thursday see if i can book more of us into the hostel, she knows me and the deal with Downhill racing.
I'm not sure about camping on the grounds, there is space so if you want to ask you can probably do that but call now don't leave it till the last minute. With the house full over the weekend i'd advise you not to drive into the drive way but to park outside the gate.. so there's no hassle with parking.. hey it common sense so work it out for yourselves.

this is gonna be a deadly race weekend and the way Epic are hitting the race scene I’ve no doubt we'll have more podiums next weekend .
also on a final note. yes i believe there is a Redbull after party in Skib on the sunday night following the race. the hostel has room on the sunday night but i think its about 30 minutes drive away.. so plans may be left until closer to the time.
