Looking at Ryans bike for sale, and the odd practice of weighing the bottle cage I'm just wondering if weight weenies get all upset when mud sticks to the bike. Imagine buying a carbon cage and picking up 300grams of mud in the first puddle, it must be devastating.
What does mud weigh?

True weight weenies do not take their bikes out in the mud... Well, actually true true weight weenies don't ride their weight weenie bike.
I often throught about teflon coated components - WD40 works well though. I remember seeing downhillers put little bits of foam in all the little holes around their suspension so that mud didn't gather.

I think I admire the sheer insanity of trying to keep mud off a mountain bike with some WD-40.
it works...but a bike covered in brains and blood would probably work too !
Don, don't forget to coat your tires with WD40 too! (Sidewalls only mind)
I also get a lot of mud in my eyes, so I'll be spraying those too.

I used to put tights on the mudguards of my MX bike, so stop mud sticking to the bottom of them. also used that foam in all the crevices. WD40 everywhere else....
