Richie
this is for total beginners and really badly lapsed people. nobody will be creased and Saturday spinners will be welcome.
The pace will suit the slowest person there, end of Story.
Beginners fully kitted out would be this
2 tubes, even if you have tubeless tyres ( trust me)
A multi tool ( including Chainbreaker)
A pump or inflator
Helmets are compulsory
Bars,gels, figrolls
Water or go juice
I would seriously recommend you wear decent fullfinger gloves and put a box of plasters in your camelback or pocket
a rainjacket or windbreaker
No tracksuit bottoms ( YOU WILL DIE !!)
No Cotton t-shirts ( YOU WILL DIE SCREAMING !!)
You don't need a giant camelback with a 3 litre tank or a â¬300 goretex jacket
You won't need overshoes
Parents can bring their kids if they mind them.
Knee pads are a good idea but not essential
Fullface helmets are not a good idea
Cycling shoes with SPDs are ideal if you have mastered them
Flats with good pins and 5.10's are also ideal.
ladies are more than welcome.
And can you just fire sensible questions please or we'll lose track of this ,
Richie
A properly fitting & maintained bike. Epic will teach you to ride, and show you how to get fit... You might even learn some new words... But please don't expect us to keep your bike serviced. Everybody has a problem every now and then, but try to sort the wobbly wheels and lack of brakes before sat...
Hi richie, Thanks for a super weekend down in the woods. You are all savage legends. Great to see you getting the kids out. Keep in touch. Look forward to seeing some of you at the Magheramourne race.
for this excursion they will be fine.
we won't be doing any road gaps, granny ring climbs or any of Bob The Builders off Camber madness !! this Session wil be all about learning what mountainbikes do..what you can do with them and why we love it so much..
We'll set you up on your bike..
we'll you'll still need a multi tool with a chainbreaker
this is easily the best one in my opinion http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...x?ModelID=7456
make sure everything is working and show you how to replace a tube and fix a chain..
beginners take note..
2 Powerlinks are essential for spins..they take up hardly any room and somebody always needs one.. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...px?ModelID=871
you can get them in any bike shop..
