Chuckies / St Annes.

Well lads, first of all I'm not an Epic member, just joined for some info and to ask some questions etc. Name's Richie anyway.

Well I was down in Chuckies the other day for the first time in about a year and all I can say is......**** sake lads fair play to the lads putting in the effort there. I'm not entirely sure who, but I've heard it was some Epic lads and I've heard mention of some names like Richie, Don, Stevo etc, don't know who they are though...... So anyway fair play on building the new jumps / lines / pump track, best I've ever seen the place.

Well ye anyway, anybody down there building or riding often these days? As most of us now it can get pretty dodgy down there especially during the summer with all the shammy *****s off school now so I'd be looking for some people to ride with now. Recently thrashed my bike so I'll happily show up and do some building on my days off work as I'm only 5 minutes away from it.

I'm hoping to start going there regularly once I get a new bike so it would be nice to get to know the locals and help out with the building, if I'm using the jumps I might as well return some of the effort put in.

Stevo is the man with the in charge hat down in Anns hes not an epic lad we just let him hang around on here and a few of us have helped out a bit with the digging. Hes there most weekends and occasionally after work with the nice long evenings. As i've said he is on the forum now and again and will probably chime in. Was chattin to one of the lads and think some of them might be out on tuesday evening. So if your around pop in and say hello.

Heard off a lad at work who rides there occasionally that apparently if I pay 10 euro and sign some form of waiver or release form I'm insured to ride there or legally allowed ride there? Don't entirely know what he was talking about but apparently the lads who are building the place are the ones with the forms so anyone know something about this?

Ah right cheers, would you have any contact details for him or is he on these forums? Seems to be involved on all ends of it from what I've heard so would probably be best to talk to him then.8)

ya we set a club 'dublin blazers' so everyone who rides has insurance so the council are happy. nothing too legal about it all tho. its a tenner to sign up. stevo is the main man and has all the forms for it.
we're there diggin and riding most weekends. we will probably be out doing a bit tomorro if your around, we're always looking for more guys to help us dig and ride so ya your more than welcome to come dig and ride with us. if you're our riding when we're not there, please dont ride the two bigger lines as theyre pretty fragile at the moment. stick to the small line and the pump track.

There is no waiver or no release form that makes you legally allowed to ride in chuckies.
However i think you might be talking about this;
Part of the deal with the powers that be is that regular users of "the chuckies" set up a club, called dublin blazers, where the members have cycling ireland licences, ie insurance incase..... whatever.. happens.
Im goin riding there tonight after work to ride, if your about call in and sure i'll fill you in on the details

Why did they want you to be called dublin blazers?
