"Fun", "Beginners", "Easy", "Introduction to XC"...... my ass!! We had a fantastic race yesterday "mid-pack" in the Sports Catagory. Shona, Carl, Kelvin, DaveK, Killian, myself etc all swopping places for the whole race. At the end of 1.5 hours five of us finished within a minute of each other - it doesn't get much closer than that!
Apologies to Kelvin who seemed to feel that my tactic of running through the more "knarly" technical sections was a bit unfair but "needs must" .... anyway he showed me who was in charge once we got onto the last fire-road!
