Hands up who's not here, just heard on the news that a mountain biker was rescued by mountain rescue at powerscort waterfall today, wonder was it just an accident or are the rumours* about Ricardo throwing clipes off the cliff actually true??
Hey Paul, I did something similar over in the Alps in 2004, had to rewire my ankle and got a couple of plates, not good, but you'll be right again after a few months. Big mistake I made was trying to get back out too soon, resulting in an endless amount of bother with muscle injuries, due to one leg being so much weaker than the other, it was a nightmare!! Trust me when ya get out of the cast spend a bit of time building back up your leg strength (rehab exercises and short road spins) and ankle movement (stretches & wobble board exercises) before getting out biking properly. I think I may even have a wobble board in the folks gaf, I'll have a look for it for ya.
In the meantime, get out, enjoy your beers and if you're lucky you might even get an ould sympathy ride!! :)
It's nice to know the few euro I gave to the Mountain Rescue Service one Sunday in R'wood is being put to good use! I'd say you were glad to see them when they arrived!
Maybe when you're recovering Paul you might post a quick report - when/where, were you alone, did you have phone coverage, who did you contact etc? I know, I know .... I worry too much!! Hope you have a quick recovery!

Don't forget what tyres and pressures, prest or schraeder, camelbac or waterbottle, SPD's or flats, we need to know these things!
Get well soon, and for once, listen to Rogan, he's been there done that.
