sounds like a total fly-by-night affair altogether - a 1 page website with no details, also clashes with one of the XC NPS races
Hard to see how you could run a 6 day race on the "best mountain bike trails in Ireland" without the knowledge/blessing of the Offroad Commission!
How much did that website cost ??
Clashidy Clash, Seen as great things are expected and I mean expected of me, I will be doing the NPS. It always gets me how these things are organized that clash, mad I tell yeh!!
if the Commission were doing there jobs instead of sending road teams to mongolia to compete in a niche sport like road racing then they would be more aware of these clashes.

Why did we vote them in if they won't even send a team to the Cyclocross world champs, I definitely remember Morgan saying they were definitely sending a Team to somewhere !

I met the guy in Nice airport after the Roc. He handed out 1000s of flyers there. I'd love to see it work and all, but tbh, i was a bit suspect. His heart seemed in the tight place, but I'm not sure of his concept. Start in Ballyhoura, make his way across to kerry, that was his plans, lots of road etc.......oh dear! Not exaclty transalp yeah?
Bob and I have been plannng the TI wayyyy before any of these long distance things were ever around, we'd do a SAVAGE 3 hours non stop across wincklow, stop, and say, 'stage 26'....I think we had 46 stages in the dublin/wicklow hills, no that would be savage.

thats more like it..I think you could do a Wicklow round and have about 20 ( realistic ) stages..
Start in Kilruddery and finish in Kippure estate..go on..think about it think about it!!!!

But first we need to revolutionise XC racing..make it shorter , harder and faster ..like DH courses only with ferocious 3 minute climbs and 10 minute descents and the only way to pass your rivals is to knock them out !!

oh yeah and you have to have a peak on your helmet too..

theres always drink in my house..always..I have a bottle of Maple Liquer, Firstblood gave me that I'm saving for an emergency..not to mention bottles of wild turkey and some sort of Portugese moonshine I picked up along the way..and I have at least 1 bottle of Dubonnet left!
