In 3 months time there will be 38th edition of this 12h (distance is approximately 200km) orienteering MTB (you can ride any bike actually) race in northern Poland, which is around my nick of the woods.
The rules are quite simple, you have 12h to find as many checkpoints as possible in shortest possible time, some checkpoints are 'worth' more than others (usually the most difficult to get to).
I did this once, back in early '00 and managed to find 60% of the checkpoints and traveled 160km in mixed terrain.
Now as most of the northern Poland is quite flat, the race is not very technical so it would suit everyone with a reasonable level of fitness. To race this you have to be able to navigate well with only basic b&w map and be able to cycle for 12h non stop (with short breaks).
I'm happy to organize travel, accommodation and whatever is required. You are guaranteed to have great time as the booze is cheap and women beautiful, would anybody be interested in this.... race of course? :)
