Tracks in Wicklow

Has anyone been up in Kindlestown, Ballinstoe, Djouce recently? Is it covered in snow and ice or possible to ride- for beginners that is??

ballinastoe is un-walkable at the moment

is there anywhere that is rideable (and suitable for a beginner) this weekend. Im based up by Blanch but will travel.

As the name suggests im new to this so dont really know where any of the trails are.

I've just heard 3rock is knee deep in snow in some parts-so that's out too!

Maybe Leadmines as it's sheltered, anyone been there last few days?

Fiona, leadmines is out for the moment. In the woods isn't too bad but anything in the open is unridable.

Kindlestown and Glen o the downs are prob ok as their low down expect slomp everywhere for a few days.

If you're in Blanchardstown and beginnerish, why not go for a spin in the Phoenix Park this weekend - there's some steep enough hills over near the Furry Glen.

cool .. are there trails there in phoneix park or just hills? ... I loved ballinastoe the one time i was there. Ideally I would like to head out on some kind of track like that --- that is if one exists that isnt iced over? ..

There are plenty of trails around Howth aswell, they are all clear.

Yeah Kindlestown and Glen O Downs are fine, there was loads of people up there over the weekend.
