Seems like a great price Don but a lot of the Shimano wheels seem to have "chocolate" hubs?

Great timing. I was gonna put up a post re: wheels: A few people have suggested that my bike frame is not too bad but I'd benefit lots from a decent set of wheels. With a €200 budget am I as well off getting these Shimano Deores? Any comments on the Mavic CrossRide Disc 09 on the same site for £125, would they be worth the extra money (still not a lot for a set of wheels I know!). I need 6-hole disk mounts. Thanks, Greg.

get the crossrides. The deores are crap the rear hub will come loose repeatedly and they have little to no sealing on the rear hub. Fronts are ok but the rears are ****. The crossrides have full sealed cartridge bearings so they will last much longer

Yeah, the crossrides don't look strong with 24 spokes but they are grand, I've been killing them all year and they stay true and only need minor corrections every now and then. The front hub tends to come loose but a drop of loctite on both sides solved the problem.
