I was just wondering if anyone could recommend anymore trails (in ireland) except for Ballinastoe or Ballyhoura???

technically we can't send people to various trails, until we come to some arrangement with Coillte regarding official permission to use their forests then we can't promote the use of their forests. I would suggest that you join a club. I think Lakeside wheelers in Mullingar have an active MTB section.
Most people who have built trails are involved with Clubs and I know non club people think we keep trails secret out of badness, this is not true.
We operate under the radar of officialdom, though they know we are there, we have to respect them as the landowners. We have a much better chance of getting official use of the forests if people are in Clubs because at least that way we can have a dialogue with them and met them half way on their requirements.
believe me, i have been doing this longer than anybody in ireland, i've seen it all, argued relentlessly with the landowners and its gotten us nowhere, but due to the hard work of Sean Herlihy we are only now reaching a point where they are interested in engaging with us positively.
Join a Club, get involved and help us as a Community get to where all trails are official and everybodies happy.
In some parts of the World you won't get shown a trail unless you've made a contribution to building the trail and have made a huge effort, i like that approach.
theres a whole heap of people out there who have never swung a shovel or cleared a track yet they are the ones who demand to see new trails and new places,
