What's a good way to get grips off without destroying them? These are not the lock on jobbies, I got them on by heating them and a spolsh of WD40.
Removing grips?
What I did was work a chopstick in underneath them and spray in WD40. Remove chopstick and move around to get the WD40 all around. Then they slid off fairly easily. The trick was getting the WD40 in underneath them.
Not sure I have any chopsticks laying around, not big on Chinese food, I like Pizza, I could try those stale breadstick yokes, but I get what you are saying, I have things I could wedge in there alright.
Better clear a slot for me on the morning Al, I suspect my bike will be destroyed tonight with all manner of fast food wedged in it.

Problem with a chopstick is you dont always have one in the garage shed I find but a long thin flat head screw driver you might, same removal applies as above.
If you get a hypodermic needle and put some alcohol under the surface, through the grip. Otherwise try to pour it in some other way. Pure ethanol, or Isopropyl alcohol both work well, because they'll dry off when you put the grip back on.
I used a tent peg last time instead of a chopstick. Worked well, didn't do any damage. Slight scratches on the bars will be covered by the grips afterwards anyway.
Don probably isn't the type to have hypodermics lying around, not since he went clean.
Can get you some iPA if you want but WD40 is fine, just takes longer to dry out.

Dry the wd-40 with a cloth and then spray some spray paint into the grip will not budge after 5mins simples!!
go to the top of powerscourt waterfall and ghostie your bikes off the top and then take up a real womans sport like badminton or golf, all of you gickers!
that should fix the problem.
that should fix the problem.
I'd been thinking of giving indoor bowls a go alright. The under 70s category is getting quite competitive nowadays I hear.

Submerge the end of the handlebar in very hot water, let the rubber expand and they will come off no problem.
That's what I used to do before lock-on grips were invented
