Killarney NPS Rd 2 - Camping?

I'm planning to go to Killarney for this race (XC NPS) in two weeks time but due to very limited budget for this month it will have to be as cheap as possible...

Does anybody know if it would be ok to camp (tent) somewhere around the race course? Car park maybe?

Also, I'd be happy to share a ride over to Killarney with somebody and split the petrol costs etc...

Hey Max, I'm driving down on the Saturday if you want to share a lift / petrol costs etc..

I plan on staying in a B&B though rather than camping..

Me, Damo and Alfie are staying in Crystal Springs B&B..we stayed there last year, great spot ! we're heading down on Saturday too and staying over Sunday night ..

Max - I think some of the lads in MAD stayed in a hostel last year. Post over there and you'll get an answer!

that kip was a rip-off, wouldn't stay there again, full of dirty tourists and poor students
I'm going for a high-quality hotel this time with a leg massage in the morning and hydrotherapy the evening before.....ahhhhhhh

actually, I think I'll stay in Byrner's pad - that place sounded nice....

Jasus thats sounds grand,wonder will they sing "She drinks Tequilla" for you??:) And Mary the mammy cooking a lovely fry in the morning before the race.Then on Sunday evening after the race Derck will clean youre bike while Dervla massages youre tired bits in her pretty pink panties!!! If the race is in the same place as the DH is, Croonaloopylooola woods, then the place is unbearable with midges so be warned... a few of the lads tried to camp there one year and couldn't bear them so had to camp in one of our mates sheds...they weren't liked enough to be aloud into the house...

down to the lake for dip after the race, to cool down the red heads of death - hissssss.....

Crystal Springs was class alright, good value too, was it 75 notes for the two nights or something like that, can't remember but it was worth it.

Are we allowed back after a certain rider remarked, well within earshot of the man of the house, "Have you seen the daughter?!"....??

That all sounds lovely but I'm looking for something that will cost me 0 or very little money... have 2 weeks to figure out what to do. I thought that midges didn't usually hatch / wake up wake up until June or so maybe camping is still an option...

I've just reserved my room in the Crystal Springs B&B...

Max get back to me asap if you want that lift.. otherwise I'll need to offer it to somebody else..

and no it was not me or Alfie..that was Rossco..!! I nearly had to go to the hospital I laughed so much !!
we also had an adventure with an open Car, a horse and Sean tried to kill Elvis O'Reilly by overtaking in the ditch on the other side of the road..
Good times !!! and the IMBRC guys never took their lycra off !!
