Djouce Gorse

Hello lazy " ah sure somebody else will do it " people..Myself , Alfie and Damo cut back all the gorse on Gwangi just before Toro, we only had to contend with driving Hailstones, Rain and close to freezing temperatures..its funny how its always the same people doing the same **** all the time, remember us when you don't get ripped to bits riding through it ! We thought we had better do something as we never do anything for the sport !
Cheers lads
as I was up there yesterday and even have splinters on the palm of my hand.
quite funny to see my legs like a pin cushion too.
be careful u could get aids cutting that **** back.
I wonder is sharing a gorse bush like sharing a needle.
My multitool does'nt have the gorse bush attachment so I'll
buy u drinks instead.
I only have one thing to say...

The gorse is the gorse, of course, of course,
And no one can ride the gorse of course
That is, of course, unless it's cleared
From the famous Gwangi gorse.
the AIDs would die in my body..in fact my body holds the cure for The Common Cold, the AIDS, the GAY, The Stupid and the LAZY..
nice one don
touch of the joe O Connor there
any relation?
have u ever heard his version of "LIKE"
it's amazing like, u know like...
You beat me to it Richie. Myself and Andy were planning on heading up there to tackle the gorse. Well done.
On a similar note........
The ground at both B'stoe and Djouce is very broken up after the big freeze during winter followed by that dry spring we had. There's a lot of loose rock around the trails. If everyone stopped and dismounted even once during a spin to remove rock from trail to trail edge then maybe after some decent rain we'll have nice well bordered single track.
Also this will keep us to the trail and not the ever widening route that is being cut up as people swing wide to avoid rock.

What say ye??
first of all I'd say that as far as Ballinastoe is concerned , the rocks that are being avoided are part of the trail construction and were put there as part of the challenge. For some reason, the users of Ballinastoe have failed to realise what Mountainbiking is all about, which is to ride at speed up and down various challenges and have the craic doing it.
The exposed boulders and rock in Ballinastoe are meant to be ridden ! theres a fair bit of damage doen to Ballinastoe by the weather but its nothing compared to what the uninformed are at riding in to the surrounding schlomp to avoid the fun bits ! The trail is not being maintained by Coillte so this kind of nonsense is getting out of hand.
Djouce is not an official trail but some of the best bits will be used by us in this years XC Nationals and it is constantly maintained by ourselves and Bob..its a thing of beauty.
Serious riders contantly stop mid spin to repair the damage done by ignorant riders ,Or give up their time to go out and clear the trails others take for granted.
Richie
Thanks Byrner, it is the bordering / kerb stones that are loose on the track, that I refer to. Not the fun, femur altering boulders.

Thanks for clearing Djouce. Had a great spin last week despite legs being cut to shreds and 2 slow torn flats.
