I was talking to some people yesterday and I was delighted to hear that their will be a race in Tollymore this year and even better ,Castlewellan.

Mel and I did the Craigavon race last year and it was actually a lot of fun. The course was flat but had a few fun sections in it. Nice to see the other venues - Tollymore is great and I don't even have to talk about the classic venue...
I was looking at the dates for the Ulster Series this afternoon and had penciled in the Craigavon race on sept 4th and Tollymore on sept 12th.Think I'll enter them,and not too far off a drive from Dublin.
I will be going as compere and Commissar to The Ulster XC race in Davagh Forest near Cookstown, its on a Saturday 19th June , the local Council have applied for funding to put a trail in to it, so I'm supporting it and hopefully you guys will too..its on a Saturday, its not going to be a savage course, it would suit beginners and intermediates and fast lads.
Carn wheelers are running it and they promise a great event !
