I got a tip off about this site for really cheap Muc Off. It works out at 30euro for 10 litres of the stuff with free brushes. Shipping is another 15euro on top of this. However, the shipping does not increase no matter how much you order.Considering is 12euro per litre in Halfords and 25euro for 5 litres on CRC, it is very cheap.
This stuff really is the business for after a mucky ride. The only drawback to it WAS the price..... Trying to get a group order together to divide the shipping cost. PM if you're interested.
I used Muc Off for quite a while but I found it very corrosive, not good for forks headsets, cables etc. Using this stuff called Fenwicks now, does the same but allot kinder to the bike. You can buy a bottle of concentrated stuff and dilute it to your needs (works out much cheaper than Muc Off). I would seriously recommend it.
muc off softens the anodising on your fork legs and damages your seals. The guys in mojo (fox uk) hate it and never ring the guy in poshbikes he kept me on the phone for 30 mins giving out about it. Its basicly just a diluted truck wash the solvents in it do more damage than good to your nice expensive bike. It also takes all the nice shine off your new bike.
You can purchase the 5 litre of fenwicks fs1 which dillutes to make 50 litres for about 35 bills.
well i can tell you this , i can get out of my head real easy on Muc off..I can't tell the difference between the green hobgoblins and blue heffalumps..but the old litre of Fenwicks, well that just puts me in the mood for a night of Richard Clayderman and Walnut whips...
so choose your bicycle Cleaner carefully..
