Tyre advice

I've got Bontrager Jones XR tyres on my Trek and just wondering about the do's and dont's regarding pressure or using tyre sealent? I would like to run with lower pressure but if I change to tubless tires will I have to change the wheels aswell????

I had them tyres at one point. When I ran low pressures with tubes I was picking u alot of snake bite punctures, also I changed those tyres pretty quick for more grippy tyres and it made a big difference, also I dont think there suitable for tubeless conversion, i got tubeless tyres (Nobby Nicks) and a ghetto conversion, done by the Bike rack, No problems since and I am able to run pretty low pressure. This is probably the cheapest tubeless route.

You can convert any wheels to tubeless. same goes for tyres, to a point. I use normal tyres as tubeless. i also carry a tube, just in case.....

I'm using those Bontrager XR tyres at the moment.. personally I think they're great.. nice and light and plenty of grip.. haven't had any issues with punctures yet..

And as Fat Boy said.. you can convert any rim / wheel to tubeless without spending big money..

Have a chat with the lads in the BikeRack about going 'ghetto tubeless'... they'll point you in the right direction for sure..

Ya havn't had a problems as of yet just curious about the benifits of tubeless...Thanks for the advice guys.
