After many years biking I never broke a mech hanger, since I bought an XT Shadow mech I've snapped two, there is something evil going on, the rocks will not be denied.

boo frickin hoo..i had loads of rear hanger breakdowns..but none since i got a shadow mech on all my bikes..i have obviously over balanced the karmic wheel or some other hippy bull**** and now you are paying for it..

Just buy a new bike and be done with it for fecks sake. I've been saying that for the last year. Once a mech hanger breaks, the bike is never the same. Just do what I do and get a new bike!
