After much deliberation I bit the bullet, and a sexy carbon HT is on the way, thanks to Gordon at Stevens.
I showed the specs to people who know their onions and it got a resounding yes. The frame comes with a 5 year warranty, Gordon is building up a service network and he offered me a great deal, very professional, in the end there was no way I could say no, even over my beloved Giants.

I'm tempted to chuck my cracked Sworks carbon frame and get one of the Stevens - look at the weights of those puppies!
Well, I'm stoked!! I upped my budget and dived in for a new shiny one of these http://stevensbikes.com/2010/index.p...=46&lang=en_US could'nt quite stretch to one of the carbony fibrey puppies but I'm sure it will be more than enough bike for a man of my limited talents. Looking forward to it's arrival like a kid at christmas. Thanks Gordon.

I have a new space close to my home in Donore but I will be offering a consultative selling service for custom builds and bike to work schemes while building a dealership network for 2011 and beyond. Thanks to Epic for you encouragement and support - see you all at the races very soon.
heres the thing I have to say..
why Robin..hes not racing the NPS...hes not racing the Nationals..he hasn't set the EPIC Club Course speed record..
No offence to the great man..
but its either Robert Scanlon, Matt Adair or Kyle McKewan you should be sponsoring..and I mean no disrespect to you , Robin or anybody else..
so nobody get in a hissy fit or start ranting on other Forums...though I could really care less.
I have always admired Robin, Joe, Ryan and the other XC Sponsored riders....but come on..
Its the youth and juniors we should be providing for and making life easier for !!
I challenge you Mr Gordon..to Sponsor the Junior Irish XC Development Squad instead of a load of hasbeens !!
and Fergal Kilkenny..because where I have been standing, these guys have done more for XC racing at the present moment than anybody else..

Hey, it's a start up business, give Gordon a break! How many well established bike retailers do anything to sponsor riders, here we have a company in it's infancy making some effort. That is a very rare thing, never mind in a stinking recession!! I commend Gordon for sponsoring anyone.
