The Beast of Ballyhoura Adventure Race, a uniquely Irish 36 hour non-stop race across the ancient & magical surroundings of counties Cork, Limerick & Tipperary. Mixed teams of four mountain run, bike, kayak, abseil, orienteer & shoot, navigating the best route to win. Prepare to meet your demons during this event designed to push each team to their limits. The Beast of Ballyhoura also incorporates the 6th All Ireland Inter Services Challenge to unearth Irelands toughest service men and women. Are you tough enough?

The Ballyhoura Blitz takes place on Sunday August 1st 2010. The race is designed for individuals looking for the experience of adventure racing. The race will cover a distance of 30 Km consisting of a 10km hill run followed by 20km of mountain biking on the world class Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails. The race will involve some adventure terrain, a little orienteering & competitors should be prepared to get wet.

Ballyhoura Blitz - 1st August - Course has been unveiled

Hi there,

For anyone interested in taking part in the Ballyhoura Blitz this year, a new course has been designed by the team at Trailriders Bike Rental, who are based at the Ballyhoura MTB Trail Head in Ardpatrick.

The Ballyhoura Blitz covers a 30km course - this involves a 10km run from the Greenwood Carpark to Ballinaboola Carpark where you will pick up your bike and cycle some of the very best of the Ballyhoura Single Track Trails.
