I am looking to put together Under 14/Under16 and Junior squads within EPICmtb..
This has nothing to do with Cycling Ireland or anybody else.
I will have top riders on training spins and giving talks on training and perfromance as soon as they agree to do it.
This area is not being developed Nationally so i'm going to do it myself through our Club and hopefully other Clubs will follow my example.
After the XC marathon Champs at the end of September I will be running spins and training sessions for both DH and XC Junior and Under 14/16 riders every Saturday.
Now there will be no distinction between them until race season and even then we will be supporting each other,Talent will be developed and weakness erased. Everybody will be riding everything from XC to DH to Dirt Jumping and BMX and Cyclocross.
We will be a team with me as Head Coach and Mentor.
