Mine is -
To loose 5 pounds
To get out of the saddle on the climbs
To spend more time in the big ring
To have NO 15 minute laps
To consistently get subsequent 13 minute laps
To get at least 1 12 minute lap
If I can do that I'll be well pleased. Let the training begin.
Don I think I preferred when you used to hibernate, grow your pelt and store some fat for the long cold winter! Now you're riding a hard-tail, wearing lycra and talking about training!
For me - Lose those last 10lbs, break into the sub 14s and stay there, a sub 43 minute race (start to finish) and of course beat Smithers for the 3rd year running!!!
for me just to make it to all the races would suffice
coupled with one lap in the 11 minute sector and i'll be happy.
that requires, big ring nearly the whole way around, plus out of saddle,
in fact i'll do a max on it and go with no saddle at all.
now there's a thought on a new rule for next year.....saddleless racing!!!!!!
and one more thing..if people aren't competing in the CLub League as much as possible, then theres no sense in rejoining in the New Year..this is the only Club Event absolutely everybody can take part in !!
To make it to more than 6 races and finish more than 5. Ambitious I know.
More importantly, to get in the top 20 in the IMRA league and to finish ahead of Damian Kelly... this is how Byrner judges me as an athlete and counts for more than I could ever prove on a bike.
well i will be making a return to the IMRA league next year after a 1o year absence..so you had better beat me and Damian..he's after joining a real running club after I told him he needs a running coach...so you are fcuked !!
I don't know why you don't do more , you're a great mountainbiker !
