We were watching it on the RTE online player - she is an amazing athlete. One of the best athletes, male and female, ever to come out of Ireland. She is a WORLD CHAMPION! Absolutely amazing - I think it is being replayed at 11.00pm tonight on RTE.

on a side not, maybe we can get Byrner a job as a TV presenter on a new reality show . . . where bankers, drunk politicians etc have to do a round in the ring with either Katie, or (gulp) Richie himself ?!

I'd fcuking pay to see that. Fair Fcuks to Katie Taylor, but as usual in this kip theres no fuss made about the most deserving!

And unless something goes badly wrong she'll win an Olympic Gold medal for us too .... and RTE can't find 30 minutes to show her fight!

Unbelievable that it wasn't shown live - RTE1 are dedicating an hour tonight to a *preview* of the annual mucker fest and yet can't get it together to screen an Irish world championship event.

hold on now , Paul, you can't expect RTE to not show Rachel Allens cookery programs or a documentary about DeValeras lost underpants or how the Priesthood is great now can you !
I was nearly a kids TV presenter , in fact I was on 2 Kids TV programes, in fact Stewart bribed me in to letting his Nephew win the CHallenge event !!
I wonder could we get that up on Youtube, Stew !
I was thinking today about an Irish Tea party movement..they had better pray I get a Job soon !
