The Blast Sponsors- special thanks

I think its fair to say that I have been at the helm of more races than any other race organiser in Ireland. i've been involved in events since 1990 i think, maybe '89,
Downhill, Cross Country, even Cyclocross ( I ran one)
and I've never had any real problem getting sponsors. Its amazing to see the generosity of people even in a recession, even after i've tapped them for The biggest Cross Country Nationals since I ran my last one in '92.
Local bikeshops are the lifeblood of the sport , you depend on them to fix your bikes and get your tubes and bits from them and advice and information too..
Michael Cowan from Chain Reaction Cycles and Mike Jordan of the Cycle Inn in Tallaght have supported The Blast from the first one.
I never even have to ask..
This year I was reluctant to ask people for sponsorship, so I didn't , they all came forward.

Well done the sponsors! The most dangerous part of the day was the free prizes, people duking it out for the bars, I nearly had an eye taken out by a bottle of Joes sealant and my daughter nearly got trampled for some grips!

that was some craic..its the Blast, there are no set rules , no categories, so what can you do ?
