a big thank you for todays Kids day

Thanks to all the participants and the Adults who give a dig out..how a mad person like myself has ended up organising a kids Club is amazing..however I never knew I had the patience or the restraint..
so Thanks , I will be completely mental tomorrow on the social spin..

The bit I find amazing, is that age means nothing. It's all about time on the bike. They all seemed willing to learn, and most looked like they were finding new limits. Hopefully 2009 will see a lot of new underage racers..

Yeah well done to all the mammies and daddies and richies an all helping get the skiddlers away from the playstations. I saw the kids day in full swing and it looked great.

Would/could Coillte build a kids only mini loop near the entrance to Ballinastoe, if the interest in the big loop is anything to go be there would be huge interest in the kids only version?

It's a great idea, but will it happen? And would you trust that the weekend idiots will not ride it, sending small kids flying?

hello to one and all... that kids day sounds like a great idea, i saw it too late to come to it.. any plans for any more similar events..

The plan is to have one every month, or there abouts. I think the next one is in a different location. watch this space for more info..

that sounds great. i gotta juggle 3 kids, one a stropy teenager, a wife working some sats and suns, so hopefully i'll get my act together, and get down to the next one.

Plan

Why dont we just build a kiddies trail over there on the left up over the bomb-hole.??
Take no time to sort out and we could add little jumps and stuff as they progress. ??

Brilliant! May I suggest that it be rideable for really young kids starting off as well, there is plenty up there for older kids. Also if the loop could be viewed from the middle at all times parents could camp out here and keep an eye on their beloved. I'll happily help out.

this is great, I should have even better news very soon..
Ballinstoe may become obsolete..but for the time being..great..i have concerns about some of the berms and the rocks...remove the wood though..
