Cloon - Older DH track

Hello

While walking the dog down the older track in Cloon during the week I noticed that someone had put logs either side of the trail for most of the middle section of the track, I thought to myself, that's great, I won't be getting lost on the way down anymore. However, someone (maybe the same people / person) decided it would be a good idea to spray paint half the rocks and put big white arrows on the trees so they know where the turns are, whomever did this needs a kick in the hole, I know it wasn't anyone from EPIC because we have a bit of respect.

So, if you see people doing this please tell them to stop.

If you did this and you're reading this, please don't do it again.

Someone has also re-built the broken jumps so fair play for that.

I think we should all keep in mind that we should leave the hills the way we found them, moving the natural material around to make a track is a great thing to do for yourself and others but messing the place up with spray paint is just stupid.

thats a seriously half witted thing to do..I saw that not so long ago..great way to enamour us with the rest of the outdoor community !

Saying that, the Little Sugar Loaf has green arrows on the rocks the whole way up, it runs over private ground and they don't want anybody but walkers up there so only walkers could've done such a thing....better to leave things as they are without the need for paint though, the only way is up if you want to get to the top, no real need for arrows, but if the little sugar loaf is like that I guess other places are too, as a result it might not go down too bad with the rest of the outdoor community. (...if directions are ever needed they should be as subtle as possible...even green paint is probably better than white.)

Them arrows have been there for a few weeks, no more have appeared since so presume the 10 year olds who where probably at it ran out of there dads finest gate paint, theres also a half assed north shore type of thing down the bottom of the winter league track thats a bit "loose" to put it lightly, we rebuilt the jump afther the main log fell out kinda kicks a bit more so watch out for that

Don't be putting down these individuals, at least their efforts are well meaning. Encourage and direct !, sure look at Fergal, remember that ****e he built on the old ttot, a feckin death drap. And look at him now, a feckin' trail building legend.

Stupid goober thing to do.
You can bet whoever put that paint there didn't do any of the repairs.
That's some ejit (there mabye more than one) doing their best to sterilize a track they are clearly not good enough to ride.
I can understand a few logs at the side of the track for guidence but painted arrows wtf ? Half the skill of Dh is looking forward enough to choose a line instead of looking at your front wheel.
These arrows help no one, not even the morons who put them there ironically.
