New Speed Cameras

For anyone who hasn't seen this yet, the red lines are the possible locations of the new speed cameras brought in today, zoom in on your area to see where they are.

I love the way there is no mention of the ones that are going to go on the M50 and other motorway/dual-carriageways throughout the country, the safest roads in the country!

The whole concept is stupid since speeding is not really an issue in Ireland (in my opinion). Except for Benelux counties the traffic here is probably the slowest in Europe (which is generally a good thing).
The issue here is drunk driving and no amount of speed cameras will change that.

At least they didn't install any on the motorways (yet?)

Oh they're on the way, have you not noticed the consecutive lines painted on the M50 at ballymun, dundrum etc.

More speed cameras in pubs, that's what I say.
