sore back

my back is given me hell after good session on the bike  not sure if my bike is the rite size . riddin lot of hills and bad ground:confused:any tips
are you completely mental asking that question on here ?
Before the " experts " come out, heres an actual real expert opinion.
Did you get sized up by somebody trained in this sort of thing. Only a qualified coach or a Trained Bike Shop person can do this correctly.
If you didn't then contact one. Its the only way to be sure. Cycling Ireland have a list of Coaches and most reputable Bike Shops have people trained in bike sizing.
richie stop the messin now...just take the saddle off it...it will re-direct the pain from your back...you be a warrior in no time...
Could be a million things but the only thing that ever solves my back pain is building up my core strength, lots of sit ups. Then there are those who say sit ups are really bad for your back so go figure.

Very helpfull Don:confused:
Sit-ups do wreck my back, so I don't bother. Yoga, on the other hand is making me awesome, and there are always sexy girls bending over. Do some yoga after Richie tells you how to sit on a bike.
Core exercises help strengthen the lower back - try the plank or the superman exercises. 2/3 times a week and you'll build up the lower core muscles that get a trashing in mtb. YouTube has loads of short vids on how to do them right. Has same probelm and this sorted me out. Bike position might be a problem too!
