Beginner/Intermediate level spin:Kindlestown

Beginner/Intermediate level spin: Leaving Kindlestown carpark most Sunday's at 12 O'Clock...I'll wait around for a minute or two at the gate so you'll see me if you turn up.

Would suit people who don't know their way around, don't like biking on their own, aren't quick enough to keep up with the pace of the other club spins, or just can't make it out to the earlier spins.

You'll need a bike in good working order and a helmet is essential, bring the usual stuff and wear suitable clothing.

Usual stuff: Spare Tube (or Two), Pump, Bottle or Camelback, Bar or Snack, Multitool, Tyre levers, PowerLink, Mobile Phone.

If you haven't got a car, it's about a 30 minute cycle from Greystones Dart station, it's not that far away but it's uphill.

Spins

Hi Sprocket,
My name is Paddy. Iam a newbe. Just wondering can you help, do you know if your club go on early Spins in Dublin or Wicklow mountains. Iam real new to this sport & maybe a bit too old...44???
Ah just trying to keep the flab at bay...
Evening Spins would also be on the cards, if this is a option?
Maybe you could point me in the right direction....
Hi Paddy, there's plenty of people in their forties at this sport so wouldn't say your too old at all, John Damage on the forums runs a spin on Saturday mornings, keep an eye out for his spin location on the forums and ask him if you'd be OK to tag along, there's loads of other regular evening and morning spins but they're aimed at club members with more experience, the pace would be pretty fast on those spins.
Yeah I'll be up there this Sunday at 12.

A lot of the time I'm the only person who shows up but I'll take anybody around there with me, I'm not super fast so you wont be slowing me down or finding it that hard to keep up.
Yeah I'll be up there this Sunday at 12.

A lot of the time I'm the only person who shows up but I'll take anybody around there with me as I'll be up there anyway, I'm not super fast so you wont be slowing me down or finding it that hard to keep up.

Hi short notice I know but is this on today???

Badly need some company (and motivation) as seem to be doing more walking than cycling due to severe lack of fitness.
Hi Lankee, no I wasn't up there yesterday, should be there next Sunday if you're around again, I'll reply to this thread on a Thursday or Friday if I'm heading up.

Cheers Jay, not sure if i could make it this week but will defo try.
I usually head out for about 10, but will try and delay it purely for the company. Would be great to head out with someone who knows where they're going as well as possibly being able to give me pointers.

How long are you usually out for??
Yeah no worries, usually up there for about two hours on a Sunday if somebody turns up.
