Good luck in the Gorey
Jaysus lads that was'nt as easy as I was expecting .... felt very fast to me ... 100 klicks in 2 hr 25 min , average 42 kmh !
.... Finished in main bunch with Morti , Max , John D and Alfie . Did'nt see Oz in the last 20 km but think he was just back a small bit , but maybe not either , its hard to kepp track. There was also a break which finished ahead of teh main bunch.
There were three wee hills on the way but on accaount of the speed before them they erally really hurt and I was going backwards in the bunch all the way up them . Oz and me lost touch with the main bunch after the first of the hills and had to busrts our b***lks with about 10 other for about 5 km to get back on ... not easy.
The bunch moves so fast and all are so close I was afraid to take my hand off the brakes , but Morti and other experienced guys were sitting there as relaxed as if they were sitting on the couch in front of the telly !!
Two crashes happened behind me , one at about 50 kph ... massive sound of carbon crunching , metal clanging and guys yelling ... not for the faint hearted.
Thanks to the Epic guys and Mikky for looking out for me , nice not to be there on my mollie malonesome !
