Merry Christmas from The President and the Committee

Merry Christmas to everybody who is a member of EPIC and everybody else fortunate enough to get this forum.
The one big thing for me in 2008 was running such a fantastic event as the XC NPS in Djouce.
For me as a Cross Country racer it was the ultimate event. So many great people contributed to the building of the course, the timing, the whole organization of the Event was equal to any World Cup or any other event.
I had people from all over the Country praise us for the event..
A really experienced Elite rider told me it was the best course he'd ever ridden.
The EPIC Blast of course was The Event of the year for me, mainly because I was near to a mental breakdown from fretting about the weather and near exhaustion from the relentless digging that never seemed to make a difference.
I regretted not entering the DH NPS as it seemed like a fantastic series.
The K Capital Cup was fantastic, i really enjoyed the moneyscalp Course because the singletrack was amazing and the course itself was animal..there were a couple of climbs that were unreal.
I never got going in the XC NPS, it was a disaster in my opinion. Though I did enjoy the Relay in Tymon, considering Oz and I had some sort of special Team Member.
I never got the EPIC Challenge in Glendo organised.
The Club league was the best one yet.
We had our first ever Club DH Champs.
2009 will be better.

Here Here Mr El Presidente, Years ago I nearly quit the sport for various reasons, And since joining epic I have been reborn with the best sport in the world with such a bunch of lads who make it FUN again. Merry Xmas all and have a happy new year, Rgds Rory.

Happy Christmas Richie! I've really enjoyed the last couple of months riding with you guys - many thanks for the many "kind words of encouragement"! Better late than never!!!

Same goes to all EPIC's members... from sprockids to supersavages.
Hopefully 2009 will see me out more... parenting has come full circle, and I now have riding buddies in my house.my boys really enjoyed the kids days out,and will race everything they can next year.
I hope the club continues to develop, but I think this is inevitable. the top table is full of dedicated, resourceful, passionate people, who know how to run events, yet still strive to push the boundaries further... well done lads. Keep it up.

Our club president and glorious leader have been dispatched to their respective pagan gods to try and arrange a good summer's weather too. For what it's worth I'll have a work with the protestant one and all...
