To all Epic members,
As everyone will have seen from the other posts, we will be having the Epic AGM this coming Friday (Nov. 30th). I have compiled a list of topics in which we will be going through during our AGM this Friday. This will be your chance to voice your opinion on these topics; after all it is your club. We (the committee) have been elected to run the club in accordance to the benefit / wishes of its members. If you would like to raise any comments on these or any other topics please make yourself heard on Friday
1. Introduction- committee report on the year of 2007 within Epic.
2. Epic Events for 2008- We will discuss details of the planned events for 2008. Currently we are looking to run 1 NPS XC event along with the Epic Blast and are also applying to host the XC Champs â08 (This is subject to the decision made by Cycling Ireland). Currently we do not have any plans to run an NPS dh event. However, if there is enough support and enough dedicated trail-builders this may still be an option.
3. Club Membership- For 2008 we will be combining all Epic membership fees with membership to Cycling Ireland. The pricing structure will change to incorporate this new approach
4. Club Members Opinions- We will be going through the opinions / ideas already raised by some of our members and airing them for public discussion. If you would like to raise something before the AGM please go here: http://www.epicmtb.com/smf/index.php?topic=4691.0
5. New Committee Members- We will introduce 2 members who have now joined the Epic Committee.
6. AOB- If any members would like to discuss anything not already brought up this will be the chance to do so. Also, there is still some Epic club gear available so if anyone would like to purchase any we will take orders depending on sizes available.
7. Prize Giving: We will have trophies for the following:
⢠Top 10 club league results (senior)
⢠Top 3 women from club league results
⢠Top 3 from club champs results
⢠Epic Member of the year
⢠Most improved Epic rider of the year.
(Only Epic members are eligible for prizes)
Drinks will be available on the night. Hope to see you all there on Friday!
