Parents, baggy Cotton bottoms are not a good idea.
If you can get them into 3/4 combats or tights under baggies
then thats the way to go
Hoodies are also a nono,
a fleece under a light rainjacket will be good too.

I'm planning to take my 5 year old somewhere soon for her first bit of off road, was thinking Djouce, middle car park to lower car park...anyone else got any suggestions for something gentle? Killiney Hill? She's pretty competent and has no difficulty rolling of 6" kerbing.
It might be a bit much, she only lost the stabilisers during the summer, is your gang not made up of older kids, 8 and up? Best to head out with her, see how she does and if things look OK maybe hook up with you on the day.
Hello..5 and up..and Sophie only gave up the stabilizers in the Summer too..she doesn't have to do anything, just watch..you will be surprised..no messing.
Don or any other dads getting young uns out on bikes.The tracks around roundwood reservoir are ideal and interesting for kids and no uphills and good rolling surface.Just a few wall crossings at road junctions.Enjoy
I plan to be there with my 2.We got out there on the Sunday after the 1st kids intro day.At first they were abit daunted by the hills but once they the mud ......well like pigs in .....well...mud.
