Morty asked me to post up a few words about todays stage...
Today Morty had a great result only losing contact with the main bunch on the last climb coming in 06â13" down. This leaves Morty only 19â54" down on GC in 127th place out of 160 riders. Several riders have already been eliminated cause you have to finish within 20% of the stage winner. There was a very strong group 3 mins up the road so the teams chased really hard in the final kilometers to reduce the deficit. Today was made even harder because he lost one of his bottles after 40 km. With the race lined out traveling at over 50 km.h-1 going back to the team car for supplies is not an option, but, luckily one of the Rapha Condor team cars gave him half a bottle to help get him through.
