Tymon is good craic, one mind bending spirally thing, an actual drop-in and an off-cambery thing that caused me to face plant horribly last year. All good anyway!
DOK might still be a deadly mountain biker nest year, CX races in the MTB off season will only help him - and anyone else who might "suffer" from too much off season.
DOK continued his ongoing mastery of CXness with a fine 12th place, Niall 8th in the A race and the Richie Byrne unique school of "encouragement" kept everyone going, a good few other EPIC jerseys were out racing hard too.
Good day for racing, not too boggy or mucky but hard work trying to keep de speed up.
The spirally thing is cool.
Another great mornings racing, despite the fairly grim weather, but it dried up half way through! I know it's not for everybody but I really enjoy Cross! It's a really sociable way of spending a few hours, all the races are close to home and the racing is incredibly intense!
Alfie went out for his 1st Cross race and went really well for a guy who had never sat on "knobbly tyred racer" before! He didn't look to happy during the race ... "****in' stupid sport" was all I could get out of him! A big smile on his face after though!
Niall was flying in the A Race (but not 8th!) and DOK went really well in the Bs. I wasn't feeling too good but had some great racing mid-pack with Ronan Kearney, young Aaron McCann and 4-5 others. Felt better towards the end and managed to pass a good few on the last couple of laps. Top half (which was the aim this year) but only just!!!
Borrow a bike and give it a go!!
