A few Euro alright, it was a good A4 race circuit and I was happy enough with my 6th place. Thanks.

Yea, I should have kept quiet about the finishing position :-)
Bunch sprint again, I think about 80 started but there was a kicker of a hill half way around the loop that caught a lot by surprise so I think about 20-30 went away on first lap. There were various efforts at a break, mostly ones and twos, including myself, but there was no appetite for it, it was fairly windy, again...
Finish was in Rathdowney, a fast ride in, down a hill, then a short uphill pull to the line, I thought I was going to be boxed in on the left but a (by now mandatory) crash on the right opened things up and I was able to find space and get up a bit, another 20m and I reckon I would have got a few more places.
The crash was crazy, a lad hit a parked car on the right hand side, smashed his fork, must have got air himself, hit and smashed the windscreen, driver was in the car at the time too, lad went over the roof, took down a few others too, but miraculously all were ok, stories vary from fellows pushing him into the car to him trying to get up the outside and barge in. To be honest i thought that the race organisers had done a good job of keeping cars away from the finish, this one slipped through, but we met it about 400m from the line, it had stopped and pulled well in, only excuse was kamakazi riding... It's awful but in some ways one would like to see some of the danger lads pick up a minor injury that would put them out for the season, though one hopes that people will learn and improve.
Other than that craziness the rest of the race was ok.
