Don't forget young Brendan and Max too! Great days racing from a spectators point if view great course very fast racing very exciting race with the Glen, Zippy and Robin switching the lead in the early laps!

Yeap, excellent racing all round... If you try CX once you'll be hooked!

Great racing today..such a hard discipline.. Flat out for the whole race with nowhere to hide! Fair play to the epic/expert cycles riders who raced today.. Had a good race myself, I was up in 10th when I burped the front tyre near the end and had to run with bike on my shoulder for a minute or so and lost 6 or 7 places.. But that's racing as they say and overall I'm happy with my result! Looking forward to the next one!!

I need to find a second hand bike.

In the same boat, not sure I want to spend Mtb money on something that might become a commuter....all that running, dismounting and stuff has me worried though.

Very few if any second-hands going at this stage into the season.. normally you start to see them around January onwwards after the nationals/the season is over...

I know Graham, I had been promised a bike but the ****er sold it to someone else over the weekend.

Thing about the CX bikes is if you buy a good one you'll have it for years... doesn't wear out like a MTB or need a new wheel size every year either..
More of an investment than anything...

I have a CX bike to lend to anyone to try this CX thing (I'll be taking snaps), I've offered it to Chris Campbell for the next race, but if he doesn't want it it's available - Chris?. It's a Kona Jake the Snake 56cm (I think). Next round is in Tymon Park in Tallaght on the 26th Oct. - a super course which last year included Robin's spectacular "Circle of Confusion" - not to be missed!

Thanks a lot for offer Adrian, however I'm planning on doing the Nire valley drop in Waterford that day so I'll have to give it a miss, but I will take you up on that offer for one of the other rounds it that is ok?

Tymon is deadly folks was spectator there last year and its dead handy to get to, so get out there!
