Not great Micky, got spat out of the 3s and rolled round with the 4s onwards and upwards

Im thinking of doing the Boyne GP on Sunday,and I'm worried about being spat out by the A4's!!

Im gonna do the Boyne GP on Sunday, first A2 race so cant wait!!

Thinking of Doing it too I only have an old hacker of a bike so I'd just be going along to see what road racing is like. I make a decision on Saturday.

I have a road bike you can borrow if need be Chris. I'm heading off for the week so won't be using it, it's a 52 so should be right for ya

@ Chris,when I went back to try a bit of roadracing in 2011 I used my origional 1985 Raleigh Record Sprint!! Its the rider,not the bike.

Thanks lads im tempted to give it a go and the weather looks promising. Just is the process of giving my bike an overhaul taught I'd be finished by the weekend but not quite there, I've borrowed my fathers bike it think it's an 8speed with mtb cleats but just want to do a race or two for a taster and to know where I stand and learn a bit about road racing and from what I hear the hardest and most important part staying out of trouble.

Thanks a lot for the offer Gary but I would be extremely nervous on someone else bike bar my fathers as he never every uses it but much appreciated.

No bother to you Chris sure just sit on the front all day that'll keep you out of trouble!

I'll second that! No bother to you at all Chris, just stay in around the front 10 to 15 riders & ul be out of trouble & can see what's happening in the race, you're more than strong enough to do that all day

Ah sure Chris my bikes not worth getting nervous about, there's no damage you can do I can't fix. I've done a shed load "racing" on road in the past, A3 or 4 level, and the most important thing is to get used to riding at speed in groups, riding in and echelon, hold the wheel or let someone in front of you is you can't, and don't skip your turn at the front. Read the road ahead not the wheel in front, hold your line in a turn, and just keep remembering it's supposed to be fun.
Seriously though, the offer is open anytime. Road racing/ sportiff are great craic

I plan to be there, weather looks good too.

Did the A4 race,usual bunch sprint finish,was mid pack at the line.Safe race,great weather and I enjoyed it.Heavy legs now.Time for a pint.
Chris did the A4 race too,he rode strongly at the front,maybe for a bit too long!!
IM sure the other Epic lads will stick up a report after the A3 race.
