Was planning to do this. Bike in the car. Looked at the phone. Clocks changed! Sh*te. Go to plan B. Spent an hour finishing off my new anthem 29er build. up to the leadmines for its maiden voyage around the new course. Deadly to be back on a mountain bike. Great work done on the trails. roll on the league

I gave the road craic one more shot. It was only down the road for me so I didn't have to make much of an effort. Enjoyed this one far more than the last as I knew what it was about a bit more. Still miffed by the lack of wanting to work in the A4 to be honest. Myself and Chris hung out at the front for most the race and he moved backwards and forwards a bit while I tried to keep the group moving. There was a breakaway for two laps and I had to do a bit of shouting at the bunch to encourage reeling them in which was basically at the hill to the finish. I towed the bunch on the last lap again as I felt it wouldn't be much or a training race if I sat on. Chris played it cute and stuck behind saving himself for the last kick to the finish. He passed me full tilt and I ran out of gas just towards the end of the kick. Came in 9th or 10th. Happy enough to be honest because I learned a bit more again but my god the A4 is a bit of a joke.

Sure when you and Chris are pushed up to A3 ye'll be grand!
