Saturday March 5th - Road race anybody?

Barring awful weather I'm going to take the plunge and have a go at an A4 road race on March 5th! The race starts at 10.30am in Dunboyne. Anyone fancy keeping me company? Probably get spat out the back after 15 minutes but what the ****!
Does anyone know how you go about entering a road race? Can you just turn up and sign on? I get the impression that "online sign-on" is not really an option?

fair play Richard..you just turn up and remember Commissaires at road races are very strict. Make sure your socks match your shorts and you have no peak on your Helmet.
And you have your number on your back and your legs are shaved and your gooch is waxed.

Ha! I just learned a new word, didn't know this one!

no ye dope !! but you definitely need to wax your gooch, helps grip on the saddle !!

I might give this a go,just have to check I can get it off work.

Yep A3, you guys get a head start then the other cats try to catch you

Did you not get an A3 licence Oscar? This is an A4 race so you can't enter it if you did

Leinster Sat 05-Mar RR A+/A1/A2/A3/A4 Mick Lally Memorial & Dublin Wheelers GP Due to various reasons we have changed the Race HQ/ Sign on for the Mick Lally Memorial/Dublin Wheelers GP races on Saturday 5th March 2011. Sign-on will be in the Summerhill Community Centre, Summerhill, Co Meath and not in the Dunboyne Community Centre. Sign on 9.15am - 10am. First race off at 10.30am. No all the catagories are out! I thought you said to me that yourself and the Gorey lads are doing it too?

Besides, there was a race on the 6th we were going to do I think..
