Road Race Sunday 13th - Newbridge

Newbridge GP, this sunday, racing starts at 11, sign on at the greyhound track.

Anyone thinking of do it? course is very short but with 2 short sharp climbs.

So? How did that go?

Well myself, Nomad and Alife went out to this race, it was 4 laps over a rolly course with 2 climbs in it, there was 150 riders in the A3 race, on the fist lap I went away in a break with 6 other but soon went down to 4, we worked well together and stayed away for 2 laps before getting caught, after that the leg were sore, so stayed in the bunch and went up for the sprint, but on the last climb 2 lad slip away and took 1st and 2nd, I could see this happen but everyone else taught they were sprinting for the win and the first guy across the line put hes arms up only to find out 2 lads were up the road. I rolled across the line, as now its all or nothing in looking for the win, good race today, Nomad and Alfie had a hard day in the saddle, but I'll let them put up there own race report.

I pulled out after the 3rd lap. I was pretty wrecked and was struggling.

Sounds like hard going. I would say there were a lot of fresh riders there who skipped yesterdays race. I was tired on the mtb so I can only imagine the pain you guys were in today.

was marshalling that race at the bottom of Boston Hill.. spotted one or two epic guys in the bunch alright, deadly to see some mtb'ers showing the roadies how it's done >:)
