Sat 26th - Staggs/Lucan GP - anyone on for it?

Barring problems at work I'm going to have a go at this! From what I can see it's a seperate A4 race and fairly short at 40kms! Early start too so finished before lunchtime. Start is in Batterstown (where the **** is Batterstown I hear you say!) which is a bit out the N3 somewhere! Long range forecast is good! Who's coming?

I'll be there, sounds like a nice short race.

A3 have an extra lap Max so your race is about 57kms I think (There's a 5km lead-in to the lap).

Yea, think I'll go along as well, It will be my first A2 race this year!

I'll give this a go, if i get the go ahead from the physio, my knee is f00ked at the moment!

It'll be my first road race, is there pre reg, or do I just bring the pink number that came with my licence? How much is it to enter?

No pre reg usually for the road. Just bring your pink number, your licence and a tenner on the day.

Richard I'm really in 2 minds about this.I will be there 100%,but probably in my"Team Manager" role,i.e. pumping tyres and shouting encouragement!!! My bike is a 26 year old Raleigh,that has spent over 10 years in my back garden!!Plus even when brand new it was a cheap old yoke.And secondly,I have'nt riden in a group of cyclist in 24 years,I'd be more of danger to myself and the other racer's!!I never even did a Epic road spin for God's sake!

So RL, OC and PC are doing this, best of luck you old codgers!!! look after me old mate now won't you Mickkky!!!
