Saturday
Bray Wheelers next open race promotion will take place on saturday 11th June with a full days racing for all youth categories, A4, A3 and A2.
Sign on for all races will take place at Roundwood G.A.A. hall open from 9 am.
Youth races will start at 10am.
The Roundwood G.P. for A4 riders ONLY will start at 12 noon and cover 5 laps of the 11 km ...circuit.
The Christy Mac M**** race for A2 and A3 riders will start at 2pm and cover 7 laps of the 11km circuit.

This race is run on points over the 3 stages not time, I think its combined with separate a A4 race.You can race any of the nights or all 3. It uses 3 different loops, some of us raced on 2 of the loops already this year. The summerhill loop, the batterstown loop and I think the last loop is the one that Morty won on.


I reckon I'm going to race thursday, saturday and maybe the leinster 3 day.

Probably join you for the Sat race. Is there much of a climb in it?

I think there's a decent bump in it alright, hopefully anyway. Maybe some of the locals can inform us.....

If it's the same circuit I'm thinking of, then no, it's not much - a couple of very short blasts per lap and one long rough drag after the reservoir. The rest is on rolly roads.

7th out in north dublin tonight.

There were 2 primes for a climb during the race. There were 3 mountain bikers first over it first time around. Myself, Sean Downey and Dave from Worc, Sean gave me a deadly lead out and I pipped that one. Got me some petrol money so not a disastrous night.

Don't prizewinners usually share out the spoils amongst their leadout train? :P
I misjudged the location of the prime and hit the front about 1km too early so was a bit gassed by the time we started sprinting, but it was a good 3-up fight amongst the mtb'ers for the prize.
Bit dissappointed to be crashed out of the finish though, I thought you'd have taken that one

The leinster 3 day venues seem to have changed. I mightn't bother with it now, to much driving involved.

Im defo doin the Mac M**** A3/A2 race tomorrow, prob see you there.

Lovely little race down in Roundwood today. Damo had a great ride coming in 6th overall, he had a few digs off the front and then one eventually stuck. He was joined by another 10 or so riders who stayed away til the end. I stayed in the bunch for the 85 km race but felt very good for the last 10-20 km so happy with that.

Fair play to yis, I stayed in bed until lunch time it was lovely too!
