Thanks to Derek for starting, Shona, Ken, Derek and the O'Reilly girls for timing/abusing.

hi all few things i would like to say thanks to richard for egging me on to race now i may have cheated but unintensionly i took the left out of section one and then right and down the hill a bit and into section 2 but i did not know that the course went down the hill to the bottom and back up but i dont care i am proud that i finished it.also i would like to thank the girl that gave me the water you saved my life i think i might have died of dehydration otherwise would love to try it without dh tyres and ..... actually on a xc bike haha enjoyed that thanks to all involved had a laugh i think i deserve a few beers for that

Jeez that was tough, first club race since Rd 1 for me, you forget how intense it is! Managed to stick to Stews wheel for the first lap but then he managed to pull out a gap on the second lap, went over the bars trying to overtake Graham and got past by Bon and Ger on lap 3. Great racing!! Must have been a few brown envelopes being handed around by some guys in the top few finishing positions though!!!

Jesus I'm in the 15's again, bruuutal, right, the Trance is being mothballed, it's HT time for the last 2. Thanks to all the timers, sorry you had so long to look at the state of me as I crawled around the place. Eddie Rockets for lunch is not ideal preparation it must be said, I don't feel too good.

the course was a lot drier than previous weeks...

Very close racing, plenty of traffic on lap3...Only about 2mins separating 2nd place from 10th!

Good racing today, I had the mojo for racing. Quick first lap with Doris, quicker 2nd on my own and would have done a fairly quick 3rd if not for the puncture. Those tubeless repair kits are the business I have to say, worked the treat:

Racing, its such a mind-f**k, in any sport - today I was in the mood, started in a fast group by my standards, with Lynchie and Bruce in particular and only a couple of seconds seperate us after lap 1 and a very decent time, then crash bang wollop and over the bars I go on lap 2 section 1.

just couldn't get my head back into it after that, as reflected in the slowest times of the year for lap 2 & 3!!!, dizzily bouncing from tree to tree; I even left the course I think at one stage!

(someone should really write a book on physcology in sport)

its timing for me next week!

yeah...thanks to Derek/Ken, Shona, Lucas, the Mini Baldies , the grey haired man , Dave Lawless and friend and everybody who turned up to race..some craic for me inanyways..its a long long time since I raced like a serious person..I still enjoy the burning sensation and the feeling of physical power you get from doing well..but I enjoy watching others burn along and still others fight the good fight with themselves !!
My practice lap was a scream..Smithers and me went for a practice , he broke his bollix on the chicane of rooty tooty ..
Then at the start of my race I went off with some lads to video them...then hung on for Skids and Jacksies group !!
Just as we started the gorse climb I overtook Smithers to catch up with Jackson and Damian..overtake was probably a misnomer..i sort of bounced off him..
then off i went and on lap 2 ..a feckin branch got stuck in my front caliper !! stopping me dead..Jacksie went by,...huffing and puffing !!
then I dont know..oh yeah..I caught up with the Culchie and did the middle section but he was all over the place and Max passed us..
So off after him I went..then waited for Doris and Mickky to go so I could film them..
on my final lap it was like misery express...I passed heaps of people. including Fergal fiddling with his bike and Max with a puncture..
and a line of pedalled to the max people on the last climb , Don stayed with me on section 2 where I ruined it for him falling off on the chicane..due to it being filled with people
then I abandoned him and me and Elvis had the race of the century..
Until we encountered Mr Lynch and despite Elvis goading me to kill Richard..we had a great old race..
big sprint to the finish between me, Scoopy, Jack and Elvis !!!
Gas craic in the pub afterwards !!
Only 2 left !!
Hmmmmmm...

2 mins is a lifetime the robot should be shot

you weren't brave enough to turn up..funny how you don't appear when the filthy shortcuts have been removed !!

I was working today,and going nuts to get out early, but alas,
This recession is sucking my will to live!
Just watching "the worlds most expensive paintings"
No:10 is worth £76,000,000

I think Ray had a conversation with a walker..I saw a big thick looking cvnt on the fireroad..I knew by him he was going to be trouble..was I imagining it ?

Nope,Ray did indeed have a talk to him.As I rode past neither party looked to be squaring up to each other,so I kept going.Passed the bloke after the race on the way down the start hill,gave him a big happy hello and got the same back.Will need to hear Ray "http://www.morgantheagency.com/ " give his version of events!!

As for the robot,I've never seen the results so spread out in relation to the finishing times,the start times really do need to be tightened up.When you see 6 mins between 2nd and 34th you know the handicap was all wrong tonight.

well that was fun. I think I left my lungs up there?
Dying - pushed myself as hard as I could. Wrecked!
