A big thanks to Marko, Oscar, Paddy and The Culchie but most of all to Shona who's help all year has been fantastic ..... whenever Shona was in charge, which was most weeks, everything went smoothly!!! Equally I would like to thank Fergal who has managed the "Robot" unfailingly every week .... and this from a guy who is not even an Epic member .... I know I'm not alone in being very grateful for the time and effort he puts into all aspects of managing the mountainbike race scene! And finally thanks to BON who did most of the work with the EPIC laptop!!!
Well done to yourself old man, you did a great job and unappreciated job at that, week in week out. A big thanks to all who did timing this year and to Princess to make sure it ran smoothly. Poor turnout tonight for a super dry course (nearly) thanks to Byrner for towing me around, still not a bad time for me as I felt dead on the bike. Good craic in the pub as always. Cheers all!!
Thanks Richard for looking after the league all summer. Thanks also to Shona, Bon & Fergal for all the timing/results etc week in week out. Thanks to timers tonight and all the other races. Great race to finish off the league, even managed to get a PB as well tonight to finish up with.
cheers lynchy for putting up with all the hassle of the epic league
I'm pissed off it's over WDF am I going to do now?
Deadly stuff from everyone especially Shona I for one will be buying her a beer at the agm
Enough of this I'm getting emotional. I need more drink
Well done everyone who raced tonight, some savage laptimes!
And a p.b for me at the last race...almost 3 mins a lap quicker than I was at the start of the Epic league, it really is the place to be if you want to improve your mountain biking!
Thanks to all the timers, organisers and to Epic as a club for a brilliant club league again this this year! For me this was the best year yet - everything about the course was perfect, we had good weather all year and everyone was giving it socks every week. Can't wait to watch the video Max.
Well done everyone ,First time doin the club league Great craic really enjoyed it well done everyone who got PB ,robin seymore 9.57 i cant believe someone can go around that track in that time, caroline for wining tonight and getting PB. Erica i think got a PB Well done Graham hand got a 12.57 well done .and Dave the missile won the league well done.Hopefully next year i wont take a chunk out of me leg and i will be able to finish the league ......and happy birthday carol.........see you all on sunday for the digging.......Yeah i forgot the people behind the robot lynchy fair play fergal shona thanks a mill and richie byrne the man with the master plan............
Massive respect & thanks to Richard for organising a superb club league! Big thanks also to Shona for all your help and fabulous encouragement week in & week out. Thanks also to BON & all the timers, starters all year, it was my first year doing the club league & I will really miss it now, lookin fwrd to nxt year already. Great league organised by a great club, what to do now on a thurs eve... Ahhh beer!!
well..
What can I say..fair play to me. I gave all of you purpose. You should name your firstborns after me.
However , A big thanks to Richard and Fergal, they managed the Logic robot between them and it was excellent.
Shona, the only person to keep the timing on the ball.
All the members and all the guest riders.
I would prefer if Robin and Joe came every week but it means a huge amount to me and the club that Robin came to the last one and smashed the record.
The EPIC club league is a work of Art .
45 minutes is long enough for a race.
It will keep you going through the winter.
In 2012 I want to see the return of Skippy, Bon and Roo.
There were nearly as many spectators as riders tonight. What a course. What an event.
What a brilliant bunch of people.
If I had a heart instead of a lump of granite , I''d say I love you all !!
Richie
cheers everyone for a great league, RL, Shona, Richie, BON, Feargal and co.
some great times tonight, congrats Dave and Caroline; and the best craic of the year in the pub afterwards. a club full of comedians - someone should be recording that sh*t!
yeah tonight was special..I'd like to extend a special thanks to Alfie and Carol , both are my concience and everybody buy Richard Lynch a pint.
We had some aggro at times over the league but he never once gave in to my tyranny.
Thats something special..
well done to Dave M on winning the league..I never would have thought it. I thought BON would have got his finger out and won it. Or Doris.
So many have passed through the Club League machine. Its made so many deadly riders.
I feel honoured that riders like Bob, Oisin, Joe and Redmond would choose to ride it. And Brendan of course.
He will probably get a special award for attending !!
Richie
what a great way to spend the summer evenings - summer or not-so-summer, from dust to mud and back again, never really mattered, as long as there were lads & ladies to race against that's all that mattered
p/ssed-off I couldn't make the pub for the finals Palmers burger but all the dossing off work early this week had caught up with me
big thanks to the Lynchy lad and Shona and her obedient timers for being the infrastructure behind the pain & mayhem, also anyone that cheered anyone else on, the encouragement always really helps when you're dying!
for me - it's the time of year to take the batteries out of the robot and put him back up in the attic, I'll fill the void with a return to the digging now that the intensity of racing is pretty much all done, so hopefully the Thurs evenings won't be so bad if we've a few new & tarted-up trails to ride on
roll on Club League 2012!
