Hello..a big thank you to everybody who turned up and raced , the Mulveys, OwenC,Ray Doyle, Karl Thomas and Sutty for there support, Phil Tighe and his daughter and a huge thank you to Sophie for her help with me and the timing.
Unfortunately the timing wasn't what I expected and I had to give up my race to do it. I would have absolutely loved to have raced , I brought a secret weapon, I didn't have a drink last night and I have been training on the sly.
But thems the breaks..EPIC needs a bloody Team manager or a full time Admin person.

Well I got as far as the 1st climb and my freehub imploded! Ah well! A great turnout and some brilliant racing. Well deserved wins for Max and Caroline! Smither's and Gareth both won well too ........ Bloody bangers! Luke rode out of his skin too ...... the comback is well and truely in progress!
I got to have a spin on Richie's Felt 6 - there should be a law against bikes that light!
What a great day out for the club. Massive turnout, perfect conditions and a savage track. Enjoyed every second of the race (even got to see Robin dab). There wasn't a place you could get a rest, after bursting up the blue bin loop you needed all your concentration not to make a balls of XTC then a sprint down the double track with a false hope of getting a rest on bulldog & Fart knocker (yeah right) and then just climb the whole way back to start and do it all over again.
Great to have a few spectators out - the encouragement was much needed.
Oscar's fork seals were causing him some issues so it was an understandable DNF.
Morty's detour into the carpark off the start-line was priceless!
Nipples I knew where you were, same with Damo and Micky..the other notable missing in actions were Rusty and jackson !!!
We'll have a very small but perfectly formed club next year , I think !
People, you were told, turn up and race and support !! its the Club Champs !!
That was tough! I went for it on the 1st lap and kept the lead for the rest of the race. It was great to (try to rather) follow Robin's lines, I didn't know you could go down Bulldog that quick!

yep deadly race in Elites with BON and John for the three laps, i think we all had a go in 2nd, 3rd and 4th. but just lost the power after the xtc climb on lap 3.
a great tough course but a sunny dry day made for some great racing.
