Hello..as most of you know I have been the **** in the yoghurt for Coillte for quite some time, since the dawn of Mountainbiking in fact. There was some Detente for a while as I went along with the Backstabbing******* who convinced me that if I went along with him on his sliddery path then I would defnitely get free access and total freedom of the Leadmines..
This of course never transpired.
So the Final Blast came and went and I got in to even deeper doodoo with the Nations Forest managers, fell out with dear friends and generally made a nuisance of myself.
It culminated in our National Body Cycling Ireland handing us out some sort of retromatic ( I made that word up ) ban on events. Then I rested and decided what I was going to do and I decided that attacking Coillte from the front was never going to work. I came to the conclusion that in order to get my way and win the war, that I would have to change tactics..
Of course I have no other tactic but you know, the longer you live the more you see, hear and get asked.
Then today I recieved a phone call from the Irish Sunday Times.
" As the foremost expert on Mountainbiking in Ireland , what is your opinion on Coilltes intention to build 11 new trail centers in Ireland. 3 have already passed the planning stage and the rest will be coming on line shortly ?"
Well..read the Times and read what I said ..after all Its The Times..not that other rag I was interviewed for.
